In today’s modern world, the term “cankle” may have come up in conversation. What thisĀ term refers to is when the ankle and the calf seem to merge together, blending without an obvious division between the two. This fusion in the legs can occur in either women or men. The term was created in similar value, fusing together the words “calf” and “ankle.”
There are a number of reasons why cankles emerge in the body. For one, genes decide where fat is retained in the body and where the extra energy is stored. Additionally, being overweight or being obese can factor heavily into the cause of cankles. Obesity stores energy as fat wherever it can.
